A direction does not need all of its possible versions at once. An interest in making things might mean a sketch, a paragraph, or looking again at something you started. You can choose a version that fits.
This is the point in the month to name both the lean and the room around it. A small boundary can describe the experiment without making a promise about how it will feel.
One question
Which part of this direction could fit inside my actual week?
One small practice
Use a private note to name one version of the direction that uses what is already available. Describe where it could begin and where it would end. Planning the version is the whole practice today.
Write: "A version that fits the room I have is ____." You can leave it as a possibility. No schedule change, purchase, or larger commitment is required.
Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.

Questions people ask
Am I choosing the direction for the rest of the month?
You are describing a possible version, rather than making a monthlong commitment. The note gives an interest a beginning and an end. You can reconsider either boundary when you know more about your time or your preference.
What if the smaller version is not appealing?
You can record that it does not appeal to you. A small version does not have to stand in for everything you wanted. Leave the direction open, choose another manageable version, or stop without arranging an experiment today.
