Being good at it is not the same as wanting it

Recognize an ability without automatically adding a responsibility.

Week 2A · The Talents collection

An ability can be real and still be something you do not want to use all the time.

You might organize well and want someone else to take a turn. You might be a thoughtful listener and also want to be heard.

Recognizing a talent does not have to create a new obligation.

One question

Which ability would I like to use by choice, rather than automatically?

One small practice

Choose an ordinary ability. Write two lines: "I can ____." and "I would enjoy using this when ____."

Leave the second line unfinished if you need to. This is about your preference, not a promise to make yourself more useful.

Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.
