Explore care without making an announcement

Consider a private way to make room for care using what is already available.

Week 3A · 5 of 8 · 2 min read

You can explore a form of care without announcing a new intention. If space matters, you might consider a quiet place already available. If being understood matters, you might describe your own thought more clearly on paper.

The experiment can belong entirely to you. It does not have to replace care from other people or prove that you need nothing. It is a small possibility you can examine without arranging anyone else's response.

One question

What private possibility might make a little room for care I would welcome?

One small practice

Choose a form of care you have named, then describe a small possibility within your own control. It might involve an available space, an object you already use, or time with a private note.

Finish: "A private possibility I could explore is ____." You can stop at considering it. No announcement, purchase, or promise to need less from others is required.

Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.

Your note stays in this browser.

Questions people ask

Does a private practice replace care from other people?

This page does not ask you to treat it as a replacement. The exercise explores a small possibility within your control. You can value care from others and still consider what you would welcome in this particular moment.

Must I act on the possibility today?

No. Describing it is the whole written practice. You can leave the possibility open without scheduling it or preparing a new routine. The note does not depend on anyone else noticing or responding to what you wrote.
