You can decide what to do with an observation without making a resolution. A note might belong where you will see it again, in a folder for later, or on a page you are ready to close.
This is a small choice about one thing you have noticed. It does not need to settle the year or announce who you will be next. You can change the place when your circumstances or interest changes.
One question
Where would I like this observation to sit for now?
One small practice
Choose an observation from a manageable experience. On paper, describe where you would like to keep it: visible, set aside, or left with the finished note. You do not need to move anything now.
Finish: "For now, this observation belongs ____." You can stop after choosing a provisional place. No annual pledge or promise to return is required.
Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.
Your note stays in this browser.

Questions people ask
What does a provisional place mean here?
It means a place that suits your current preference and can change. You might want a note nearby, saved for later, or left alone. The practice does not make that choice permanent or turn it into a resolution.
Can I choose to leave the observation in the old note?
Yes. Leaving it where it is can be the whole choice. You do not need to organize a notebook or create a new system. The sentence simply describes how available you want the observation to be right now.
