Something may have helped with a task without fitting the way you want to spend your days. A detailed checklist might have suited a busy afternoon but felt unnecessary later. Both descriptions can be true.
You can recognize what was useful without keeping the whole method. This reflection leaves room to name the setting, the benefit you noticed, and the part you would prefer to change or leave.
One question
What was useful in its setting but may not fit what I want now?
One small practice
Choose a small routine or approach you tried. Describe the setting where it was useful, then name a part that may no longer fit. Stay with your experience rather than judging the approach in general.
Write: "This helped in that setting, and now I notice ____." You can stop here. You do not need to keep, replace, or improve the routine today.
Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.

Questions people ask
Does leaving a routine mean it was never useful?
The note can preserve that it helped in a particular setting. Deciding it may not fit now does not require rewriting that earlier experience. The practice keeps usefulness and current preference available as separate descriptions.
What if I cannot decide whether it helped?
You can write that you are uncertain. Name the setting and whatever you actually noticed, without supplying a benefit to make the exercise work. No decision about the routine is needed for this short note.
