Keep a sentence about how it felt

Record the experience of a possible direction without writing a progress report.

Week 4B · 8 of 10 · 2 min read

The Reflect step asks for an honest sentence about how the hour felt. You might have wanted to continue, felt ready to stop, or noticed little either way. A plain description can hold any of those experiences.

If you did not try the hour, that is also something you can record. You do not need to invent a result to finish the month or turn the note into a recommendation for what comes next.

One question

What sentence would honestly describe my experience of this direction?

One small practice

Recall the hour if you tried it. If you did not, stay with what happened while considering it. Write a factual sentence about the experience, without comparing it with what you hoped to feel.

Finish: "My experience of this direction was ____." You can keep that sentence without choosing another hour. There is no required conclusion, and you can leave the direction open.

Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.

Questions people ask

Do I need a positive sentence to finish the month?

No. Being ready to stop or noticing little can fit the practice as well as wanting to continue. The sentence is about the experience you had. It is not a success story you need to produce for the collection.

Can the sentence say that I did not make time?

Yes. You can record that the hour did not fit or did not happen. Keep the description factual and leave out a verdict about yourself. There is no need to invent an experience so the note appears complete.
