Carry a clearer account of a moment

Keep an observation about an exchange without requiring a relationship conclusion.

Week 4B · 8 of 8 · 2 min read

The end of these reflections does not require a decision about a relationship. You can keep an observation about a manageable moment: what happened, what you had hoped for, or a word for what mattered to you.

The account can stay private and specific. You do not need to turn it into a request, a rule, or a story about improvement. It is enough to know which part you would like available in your notes.

One question

What have I noticed about my experience of an ordinary interaction?

One small practice

Use a note from this collection or choose a manageable exchange from today. Write a specific observation about the event and your own experience, leaving another person's intentions unknown unless you actually know them.

Complete: "An observation about this moment I want to keep is ____." You can stop here. No relationship verdict or next conversation is required.

Use paper or a private note. Nothing needs to be submitted.

Your note stays in this browser.

Questions people ask

Can I finish without knowing what anyone intended?

Yes. The practice does not require an explanation of another person's intentions. You can record what happened and what mattered to you while leaving that unknown. The collection is complete without a wider account of the relationship.

Does keeping the note mean I should share it?

No. Keeping and sharing are separate choices, and sharing is not part of the practice. The note can remain private. You do not need another person's agreement or participation to carry your observation forward.
